MarketsOnDeck After-Market Tape, October 27, 2026 — Tuesday's tape: index ETFs green, QQQ led

Boeing fell 10.70% on Tuesday and the Dow still finished fractionally higher, because tech carried the tape again: Broadcom jumped 4.04% on a $63 billion Anthropic accelerator deal (AP), Tesla added 4.04% for a second straight day, and the Nasdaq-100 rose 1.29% to 29,651.44 the day before the Fed decides.

Recap

Tech carried the tape for a second straight day on Tuesday. At the official closes (Robinhood), SPY rose 0.57% to $769.72, QQQ rose 1.27% to $721.24 and DIA rose 0.06% to $523.26. The S&P 500 index printed 7,722.60 (+0.60% vs Monday's 7,676.77 close) and the Nasdaq-100 printed 29,651.44 (+1.29%), with the VIX down 4.73% at 17.52 (Robinhood index quotes). The Dow finished fractionally higher even as Boeing fell 10.70% to $168.16 on its earnings day — a drop Investopedia said limited the blue-chip index's gains. Oil fell for a second day: WTI crude pulled back 1.9% to below $100 a barrel and Brent declined 1.7% to below $114 around 4 PM ET, while the 10-year Treasury yield was nearly flat near 4.99% (Investopedia). Bitcoin reclaimed the $80,000 line — around $80,600 in late trading (Investopedia), with Robinhood's evening mark at $80,571.51.
