An Important Distinction: The Trading Data You See vs. Your Data
This site publishes real trade data from the site owner's own personal brokerage account, chosen for publication by the owner. That is the owner's own financial data, published deliberately as content — it is not collected from you, the visitor, and has nothing to do with your personal information. This section is about your data as a visitor to the site.
What This Site Currently Collects From Visitors
MarketsOnDeck uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and page views and see aggregate site performance. Cloudflare says this analytics service does not collect or use visitors’ personal data. Most public pages do not require an account, and visitors are not asked for financial information. The Tape is different: an invitee who chooses to create an account provides an email address, password, and username through a form connected to Supabase. Supabase handles account creation and authentication. Our hosting provider may also keep standard server logs containing technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested under its own privacy practices.
Optional email signup: Visitors can subscribe through the Substack signup form on the homepage. The embedded form can contact Substack when it loads, before you enter an email; that request may send technical data such as your IP address, browser information, and existing Substack cookies to Substack. If you choose to enter your email and subscribe, Substack handles that address for the newsletter under its own privacy policy. Subscribing is optional and no account is required to read the public pages.
Affiliate tracking links: when you click a link to a partner platform (Robinhood, Webull, TradingView, and others named in our Affiliate Disclosure), that link passes through the affiliate network's tracking system before reaching the partner's site, which may set a tracking cookie on the partner's domain. We do not control this directly — it's governed by that network's and partner's own privacy policies.
If we add advertising or other data-collecting tools in the future, this section will be updated to name the specific tool before it goes live.
Cookies
This site does not set its own first-party advertising or analytics cookies as of the effective date above. The embedded Substack signup can send existing Substack cookies when it loads; outbound affiliate links may also use third-party cookies under those services’ privacy policies. The Tape account uses Supabase for sign-in and account management.
Your Rights (GDPR/CCPA)
EU/EEA visitors have rights to access, correct, delete, and restrict processing of any personal data we hold — contact us to exercise these. California residents have rights to know, delete, and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information; MarketsOnDeck does not sell personal information. Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
